Hello Everybody,

We keep meaning to say this but somehow keep forgetting…. until now. We’re doing a rotating Basil Motherload – each week one or two members will get an X-tra large bag of basil for making pesto, or whatever else you would do with a lot of basil. If you are interested, just email us or let us know when you pick up your box & we’ll put you on the list.
In your box this week you will find:
-Rose Finn Apple Fingerling Potatoes (this is our favorite fingerling)
-Tomatoes
-Chard (helped by the new shadecloth Farrell put up!)
-Cooking Greens (w/Callaloo)
-Bell Peppers
-Garlic
-Basil
Lemon Cukes
-Baby Carrots
-Onion – “Red Long of Tropea”
-Edamame
-Zinnias
If you haven’t eaten edamame before, it’s really tasty just boiled briefly in salted water (one website called it “al dente”). Kind of like boiled peanuts – you do have to shell them once they’re boiled, but they’re a great appetizer/finger food. Enjoy!
